Job Title: Shop Apprentice – Collision Department

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Apprentice to join our Collision Department at Toyota of Stroudsburg. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in the automotive repair industry. The Shop Apprentice will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in collision repair and vehicle restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist technicians with the disassembly and reassembly of vehicles, including removing and installing panels, bumpers, and other components.
Perform basic bodywork repairs such as sanding, buffing, and priming surfaces.
Aid in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
Support the team with vehicle prep work, including masking and protecting areas that do not require repair.
Transport parts and materials between the parts department and the shop as needed.
Learn and adhere to safety standards and best practices for working in a collision repair environment.
Perform inspections and quality checks on repaired vehicles to ensure compliance with dealership standards.
Assist in maintaining detailed records of work performed and materials used.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to advance technical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training in automotive repair preferred.
Previous experience or interest in automotive repair, bodywork, or collision repair is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team-oriented environment.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is commonly used in the automotive industry.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
