Overview Bilingual in Japanese and English. Supporting Migration from VMware Environment to OpenShift. Responsibilities Migration Planning: Develop detailed migration plans, including risk assessment, timelines, and resource allocation. Data Migration: Migrate data from VMware to OpenShift with minimal downtime and data loss. Application Refactoring: Refactor applications to run efficiently in containerized environments. Automation: Use automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for migration tasks. Troubleshooting: Address issues that arise during migration with strong problem-solving skills. Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers throughout the migration process. Project Management: Ensure the migration is completed on time and within budget. Technical Skills VMware Expertise: In-depth knowledge of VMware infrastructure, including ESXi, vCenter, and related management tools. OpenShift Proficiency: Thorough understanding of OpenShift architecture, deployment, and management. Containerization: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and their integration with OpenShift. Networking: Strong grasp of network protocols, configuration, and security in virtualized and containerized environments. Storage Solutions: Knowledge of storage technologies and their integration with VMware and OpenShift. Security: Expertise in implementing security best practices in VMware and OpenShift environments. Automation & Tools: Proficiency with automation tools for migration tasks (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). Qualifications & Experience Experience Level: Expert Level. Soft Skills: Communication, leadership, project management, adaptability. Pay & Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $100.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to certain benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
