General Summary of Position Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Non-exempt Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm Address: 9000 Franklin Square Dr, Baltimore, MD 21237 MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Clinical Medical Assistant Supervisor to enhance our team at MedStar Medical Group. The ideal candidate will be a certified Medical Assistant with 2 years of leadership experience and outstanding customer service skills. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of clinical staff within an ambulatory care environment, while also executing Clinical Medical Assistant and Patient Services Coordinator responsibilities. You will play a crucial part in coaching staff for safety, facilitating training, and assessing competencies. Your involvement in quality and safety initiatives will help streamline our operations. Primary Duties: Lead department staff meetings, ensuring effective communication of developments, programs, and policies. Create medical assistant work schedules to ensure optimal patient service. Support the training and development of Medical Assistants, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, while monitoring staff performance for improvements. Assess clinic practices and provide training on quality, safety, and clinical best practices, ensuring regulatory compliance. Mentor and guide new Medical Assistants by promoting the mission and values of the organization, while bolstering their career development. Oversee lab competency testing, maintain necessary documentation, and assist in recruitment and retention efforts to cultivate a productive team. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a valid LPN License. 1-2 years experience as a medical assistant in a medical office or ambulatory health setting. Certification as a Medical Assistant; either through the American Association of Medical Assistants or Registered Medical Assistant through American Medical Technologies. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. This position offers a competitive salary range of $25.35 - $44.55. MedStar Health
