The Role

As the Chief Engineer for VTOL UAS , you will oversee all phases of the development lifecycle , from concept and prototyping to full-scale production and deployment . You will also lead cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mission-critical systems, autonomy technologies, aerodynamics, propulsion, and avionics.

This role demands a technical visionary with deep expertise in VTOL aircraft design, flight control systems, and autonomous navigation . You will architect next-generation UAS solutions and work closely with leadership, program managers, and external partners to bring this cutting-edge technology to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle development of VTOL UAS, from concept design to final production .
  • Drive mission systems integration , ensuring seamless communication between avionics, autonomy, and flight control software .
  • Spearhead the development of AI-driven autonomy and advanced flight control algorithms for enhanced UAS operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams , including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to achieve key project milestones.
  • Serve as a technical authority in VTOL UAS development, providing guidance on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with program managers and senior executives to align engineering objectives with company goals and product roadmaps.
