Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students within a school setting. This contract position involves working throughout the school year, providing occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 30 students. The role requires travel to multiple school sites within the San Bernardino area, with mileage reimbursement offered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services designed to meet the unique needs of students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Conduct assessments and document student progress and therapy outcomes.
  • Manage a caseload of around 30 students, adjusting interventions as necessary.
  • Travel between multiple school campuses to provide services and support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential is required.
  • Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage a manageable caseload independently and efficiently.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various school locations, with mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage students, families, and school personnel.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in San Bernardino, California.
  • Contract duration covering the current school year (CSY).
  • Working hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
