Job Description

Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position available for a K-12 school located in Grady, NM. This contract role covers the full school year (NSY) and involves supporting occupational therapy services in an educational setting.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
• Valid Arizona state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• At least one year of recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric environment
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
• Commitment to continuing education credits and professional development as required by state and district standards

Responsibilities:

• Assist in delivering occupational therapy services under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Implement therapeutic activities to help students achieve educational and developmental goals
• Monitor and record students progress; collaborate with the OT to refine treatment plans
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with relevant regulations
