Position Summary:

We are looking for driven Carrier Sales Representatives to join our fast-growing team in Houston, TX. In this role, you'll be responsible for securing transportation capacity by building strong carrier relationships, negotiating rates, and ensuring successful load execution. You'll work closely with sales executives and account managers to ensure seamless service and delivery for customers across various freight types.

This is a high-impact role for individuals with brokerage experience who are energized by fast-paced environments and passionate about operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Carrier sourcing to move freight across various modes (with a focus on open deck and specialized freight)
  • Negotiate competitive rates and ensure profitable margins
  • Manage the full carrier lifecycle from booking to tracking to issue resolution
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term carrier relationships
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate load execution
  • Proactively identify capacity constraints and recommend alternative solutions
  • Utilize TMS and internal systems to update load statuses and documentation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of carrier sales or relevant brokerage operations experience
  • Experience with open-deck, over-dimensional, or heavy haul freight strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with reefer and dry van capacity is a plus
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX (onsite role)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
