Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Bobcat Operator in Locust Grove, GA. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading scrap metal, moving material and cleaning shredder piles. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below.

In a Bobcat Operator job you’ll be responsible for:

1. Safely operating Bobcat to move, load, and sort various types of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal within the yard.
2. Assisting with feeding materials into shredders or compactors, ensuring consistent material flow and minimizing machine downtime.
3. Clearing debris and maintaining open paths throughout the facility to ensure safe access for trucks and personnel.
4. Aiding in unloading incoming scrap deliveries and organizing outbound loads for transport, ensuring compliance with weight and load specifications.
5. Communicating with scale house operator and yard managers to coordinate equipment needs and material movement priorities.
6. Providing general labor support as needed, including lifting, sorting, or assisting other teams during peak operations.
7. Conducting pre and post operation inspections, checking fluid level, and overall machine conditions.

What you’ll need:

1. Proven experience operating a bobcat.
2. Strong safety orientation.
3. Must be OK with working outdoors.
4. MUST pass drug screening.
5. Must have steel toe boots.

1. Great work schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
