Progressive Contracting Co., Inc is a full service commercial General Contractor based in Sanford, NC with both private and public contracts ranging from $100k up to $10mm. The reputation of our company and quality of our projects demands strong, attentive, pro-active project management skills, and the desire to add value to the construction process. We are seeking an organized, and analytical individual for an entry to mid-level Assistant Project Manager position.

Job/Candidate Description:

This is an entry to mid level position. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational abilities, be detail oriented and have an analytical mindset. Background knowledge in the field of construction, engineering or mathematics is ideal but not required. Furthermore, this position will require excellent written/oral communication, a professional appearance, and will require a self motivated individual.

Job Responsibilities:

• Integrity, strong compulsion to make the morally and ethically correct decision.
• Strong work ethic with leadership qualities and the ability to earn the respect of the PCCI team members.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards.
• Assisting the Project Manager in all phases of commercial construction projects from planning to completion including:

1. Owner/Architect communication and construction progress report preparation.
2. Coordination across all project team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
3. Monitoring project progress and address challenges which arise thereby preventing delays.
4. Construction budgeting and cost tracking.
5. Attend site meetings, inspections, and regular progress reviews.
6. Subcontractor submittal review and approvals.

• Estimating and detailed material take-offs using Excel based estimating program.
• Marketing, sales, and corporate promotions.
