Job Description

Overview Alterations Customer Service Representative at David's Bridal. The CSR supports the Alterations department and completes tasks that contribute to providing superior customer service. The CSR reports to the Store Manager and may welcome and service customers, make appointments, answer phones, press garments, and ensure items are ready for pickups. Responsibilities Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person, communicate clearly, adapt style to suit customers, problem solve, demonstrate excellent phone skills and resolve conflict. Use all systems to manage the customer flow to deliver a five-star customer experience. Meet service vows: Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs, and Be There for all customers; complete operational checklists and address customers\' emotional and practical needs. Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at once and contribute to the store\'s Five-Star Customer Service goals; proactively address concerns and know when to escalate to leadership. Explain how alterations can enhance the dress for the customer\'s event in partnership with Alterations. Promote all alterations services and personalization options. Maintain store standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness, store recovery) to support a flawless shopping experience. Maintain high dress code standards as required by policy. Greet and escort alterations customers to and from alterations for appointments. Press, steam, and spot clean merchandise. Follow quality control guidelines and inspect altered/steamed/pressed garments to ensure pristine condition before final delivery. Build long-term relationships to meet and exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty. Support inventory management by processing special orders, pickups and quality standards for all merchandise. Support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions with accuracy to ensure customers feel celebrated. Seek assistance from the Alterations Manager to address issues beyond own resolution. Maintain a clean and well-organized alterations room. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of prior retail experience in apparel or a specialty store Prior sewing experience is helpful Prior experience with computerized POS systems Physical Demands Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; bend, twist and move throughout the store; communicate with customers; use POS terminals and computers; lift up to 10 pounds; near and distance vision required.
