Job Summary:

An Agency Specialist 1 must always maintain an elevated level of customer service with Bankers Fidelity, its Affiliates, its agents, and its associates. The role will require you to communicate both effectively and professionally with agents and associates using both verbal and written skills. You will support our agents, the agent agreement and compensation schedules by performing a variety of Licensing and Contracting research and verification. You will apply analytical, organizational, and technical skills daily. The Agency Specialist 1 must navigate and utilize various systems: the company’s legacy system, other internal systems and applications, external systems, and other web-based sites. The Agency Specialist 1 is honest, positive, a collaborator, focused, works well independently, organized, and demonstrates a level of integrity and accountability. In this vital role, you will be integral to Bankers Fidelity’s Mission to deliver insurance solutions that uphold our promise of security and stability to those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new agent paperwork by performing the following:
    • Review contracts, commission schedules, active license, and various forms for completion via ImageRight.
      • Process agent contract via contracting online or “paper.”
      • Complete agent master record in USSI.
      • Verify the new agent appointments in various states, verify confirmation letters are received and in the agent file; ensure compliance with regulations of the state insurance departments by monitoring errors in SIRCON.
      • Send written correspondence to agent and hierarchy via email.
  • ​​​​​​​ Respond to agent phone calls or written correspondence concerning contracting.
  • Learn and understand all information maintained on the Agent Master record.
  • Process state monthly and annual renewals from the state insurance departments.
  • Assist the Agency AVP on various projects as needed.

  • Strong verbal and written skills are required, and should possess good analytical, organizational, and technical skills. Have experience in working with a mainframe, imaging system and various software applications.

  • Team Collaboration: Capability to collaborate with colleagues and other departments to achieve common goals and ensure seamless service delivery

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

The work environment is a standard office setting with typical office equipment. This role involves professional collaboration with colleagues and clients. Responsibilities may involve extended periods of sitting, occasional walking between departments or meeting rooms, and periodic standing, reaching, stooping, and lifting office items weighing up to 25 pounds.
