We have a busy weekend for fights and I am super excited about it. What about you fight fans? On Friday, February 27, 2015 there will be 3 top MMA promotions. I am saving the third one for an article that I will post about later. Now on to these 2 promotions.
Legacy FC is in Houston, Texas at the Arena Theatre where we get to see up and comers showing off their skills and working their way up to getting a title shot or to move on to the big fight stage. It is possible that on this night we may have a main event that may result in one of these fighters being called up to one of the top 3 very soon.
For the Legacy FC World Middleweight Championship, defending champion Leonardo Leite is defending his title for the first time against Larry Crowe. Leite is looking to keep the title and to keep his undefeated streak going. Crowne is on a 3-fight winning streak and looking very determined to win the title and move up. This is on AXS TV so don’t miss out on these fights.
BellatorMMA 134 is in Uncasville, Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun Arena for an action packed night that is being touted as “The British Are Coming”. The reason for the title is that in the main, the co-main and the 3rd to last fight there will be one fighter from Europe fighting.
We have Heavyweight Cheick Kongo vs. “King Mo” Lawal which should be interesting considering Lawal is a Light-Heavyweight fighter. This screams KO all the way.
In the co-main event in the Welterweight division we have the returning Paul Daley taking on Andre Santos. This co-main event is going to be good with Daley, a predominate striker, taking on late replacement fighter, Santos. Santos is an MMA fighter who has wins that are 50/50 by submission and TKO which means this fight can go anywhere for sure.
In the main event for the BellatorMMA World Light-Heavyweight Championship we have defending champion Emanuel Newton taking on undefeated BellatorMMA Summer Series Tournament Champion, Liam McGeary. Newton is looking to make this his 3rd successful title defense, keep his winning ways going along with his 7-fight winning streak. McGeary has been on a tear since coming into BellatorMMA and with his 9-0-0 record he is looking to keep that going and take the title as well. This will be live on SpikeTV.
Who is ready for these fights ?
