ONE FC 23 is taking place in Pasay, Philippines. This card has already taken place but, what I have seen from the highlights that have been broadcast, it looks to be a great night of fights. I am going to talk about the Main and Co-Main Event along with a lightweight fight that made me go OUCH.
Another Great Fight Weekend!

We have a lot going on this weekend for MMA so I hope you are ready for it fight fans! Today alone we have 3 different promotions, so lets get started right now.
In his ONE FC debut we had Timofey Nastyukhin def. Eduard Folayang by flying knee for the knockout and I have to say this move was one of the best I have seen in a long time. In the Co-Main Event we saw Brandon Vera return to MMA action in more then a year since his UFC release. He took on Igor Subora in a heavyweight fight and these two men were ready to fight and showed they want to get the ONE FC Heavyweight Title. But, it was Vera who showed us that he wanted to win more and knocked out Subora with punches and soccer kicks.
Now onto the Main Event of the evening. We saw current ONE FC World Bantamweight Champion Bibiano Ferandes taking on undefeated Dae Hwan Kim. The first round was a good feeling-out round and demonstrated that they both were taking each other very seriously. Ferandes took the edge in the second round by submitting Kim with the rear naked coke that was very slick and well done. Everyone keeps talking about Ferandes being the most dangerous bantamweight not signed in the US as well as those not signed with the top 2 companies. I want to know what you fans think in our forum.
RFA 21 is here in our own backyard of Costa Mesa, California at the OC Fair Grounds and Event Center. If you are in the area and want to see one of the most up and coming MMA Promotions then I suggest that you get down here and come experience it live. RFA 21 will be showing these fights on AXS TV later tonight. This fight card has 6 great fights and the main event that is set for the RFA vacant World Lightweight Championship. RFA is the showing that they can produce some really great fights and fighters that can make it on the bigger promotions and I can’t wait to see the fights tonight.
Invicta FC 10 is being held in Houston, Texas and if you want to see some hard hitting female warriors then I think you should watch it because these ladies are here to fight. They prove that men aren’t the only ones that can be the top dogs in fighting. You can see these fights on the UFC Fight Pass and this card is definitely stacked. The main event title fight is for the Invicta FC World Atomweight Championship where defending champion “The Karate Hottie” Michelle Waterson takes on Herica Tiburcio. As you all know Invicta FC is an all female MMA promotion which has weight classes from Featherweight, Bantamweight, Flyweight, Strawweight, and Atomweight. Since the UFC brought in the Strawweights for TUF and a new champion will be crowned. Invicta has taken out the Strawweight division for now but I think it will come back later on down the line.
UFC 181 tomorrow night, December 6, 2014, is taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada and we have a major card where we have not one but two UFC titles on the line. In the Co-Main Event, we see the coaches for this season of TUF number one contender, Gilbert “El Nino” Melendez ,taking on UFC World Lightweight Champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis. Pettis is defending his title for the first time. Both these fighters haven’t fought in over a year with Pettis letting his knee heal up and get ready for the fight. Melendez has been waiting for his title shot and just wanted to make sure he was 100% before he got his chance to prove he is the rightful champion.
In the Main Event it’s a rematch from March 15, 2014 World Welterweight Championship fight where we saw new and defending champion Johny “Big Rigg” Hendricks taking on “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler. These men had a war the first time they fought and most of the fight fans have commented that they thought that Lawler won that fight instead of Hendricks. But that wasn’t the case at all. Hendricks won that fight and with only one good arm. He had to have bicep surgery after his fight with Lawler because tore a muscle while they fought.
While Hendricks has been out healing, Lawler has been getting better and he has been fighting. This fight tonight will be his 5th this year alone which is very rare to do in this sport. But with his knock out win vs Jake Ellenberger and his fight of the year win over Matt Brown, this is the match tonight that Lawler wants more then anything. Lawler has fought for almost every company there is and has won most of the titles to go with it. The UFC Title is the one he wants the most. I want to know everyone thinks about these fights. Also have a great weekend, be safe and keep on fighting!
